MindDrop - Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Welcome to MindDrop. By installing and using the MindDrop Chrome Extension ("the Extension"), you agree to the following terms and policies. We believe in digital minimalism and absolute privacy, so our rules are simple and transparent.

Part 1: Privacy Policy (Your Data is Yours)

1. Data Storage (Local First) MindDrop is designed to be a local-first, temporary inbox for your brain. All texts, links, and data you save using MindDrop are stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not have servers, we do not sync your content to the cloud, and we have absolutely no access to what you save.

2. Data Collection & Tracking We do not collect, track, or sell your personal information. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party tracking scripts inside the extension.

3. Payment Processing (Pro Version) If you choose to upgrade to MindDrop Pro, payments are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem. We do not collect or store your credit card information. Creem only shares your license key and activation status with us to unlock your Pro features.

4. Third-Party Links The extension may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., when you save a URL). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

Part 2: Terms of Service

1. "As-Is" Service and Data Loss Disclaimer MindDrop is specifically designed as an ephemeral (temporary) storage tool. By default, items saved in MindDrop will be automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours. By using MindDrop, you acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any loss of data, text, or information. Please do not use MindDrop to store critical, irreplaceable, or sensitive information. The extension is provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Pro License If you purchase MindDrop Pro, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the premium features. Sharing or distributing your License Key is strictly prohibited and may result in the revocation of your Pro status without a refund.

3. Changes to the Extension We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Extension (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
